I have experienced almost each and every trading platform available in India for stock market. Here are my views for the respective platforms:
Application Based (EXE.based platforms.)
ODIN™-Diet: This is the best trading platform available in India. This is why almost every active trader, broker as well as HNI uses it. The advantage of this platform is that orders goes directly to exchange rather than Ur brokers server and then to market like in other platforms. So it is fastest of all. It requires least bandwidth against other platforms like the TT of 5paisa.com, which requires high bandwidth. It is provided by many brokers like:
Power Indiabulls: This is the most advanced new generation trading platform with great speed next only to Odin. The appearance of this platform looks like ODIN™-Diet. It has very rich features like the intraday charts, direct routing of order to exchange etc. Among various large broking houses that have developed their own branded trading platform, this is the best.
Trader Terminal (TT): This is another platform available in market. But it has many demerits. Like it requires large bandwidth though the company claims that it doesn’t. It is slow with respect to order routing. Orders are routed to their trade server and from there to exchange thus it is slow. It frequently gets disconnected from their main server. So I will personally not recommend this platform.
SPEEDTRADE: This is exactly same like Trader Terminal. Only difference is the name.
SpeedX+: This is a revolutionary platform provided by bsewebx. It is very fast and with rich features like historical graphs along with technical tools. The only demerit in it is that one can trade only on BSE and not on NSE.So those who trade exclusively and largely in F&O may not like this software, as volumes are very low in BSE F&O segment.
Tradeanywhere: This platform developed by www.asinacerc.com is provided by many brokers and comes with features like live streaming quotes charts etc. But it is not a trusted one when one is having options of software like Odin and power bulls.
Web based Platforms.
Share khans applet based trading is a very good web based platform with good real time live streaming quotes. It offers a unique experience to web based traders.
INeT.net™: This is a web based application and best among its kind, developed by financial technologies. (www.ftindia.com)
It has streaming real time live quotes and appear like ODIN on screen, it has features like Odin and one can say that it is a variant of Odin. The only difference is that it is web based ad not application based. It is fastest browser based trading platform.
Trade anywhere: This browser based platform is used by many brokers to provide their clients online trading. But then again I wont recommend it. It is not a trusted platform.
Neatix & speedx: both are slow and don’t offer streaming real time live quotes.
Apart from these , there are many platforms like KEAT from kotak etc.But I have covered only those which are used by many traders and which are worth discussing.Please mail me your feed back on the platforms mentioned above in case if you have used them.Also if you are using a platform not covered above do mention it with your feed back.
